Dr.-Ing. in computer science. Lead AI Engineer at One.AI, the AI unit of q.beyond AG. EU AI Act SaaS launched in two months. End-to-end owner of a private enterprise AI platform.
Hi, I'm
Lead AI Engineer · One.AI, the AI unit of q.beyond AG
I build enterprise AI that holds up in production and in an audit. At One.AI, the AI unit of q.beyond AG, I lead the engineering of AI products for mid-sized and large companies: AI Act as a Service went from concept to public launch in two months, and I am now responsible for the Private Enterprise AI platform from concept through implementation to deployment.
Before that I earned a doctorate in computer science (Dr.-Ing.), led research on trustworthy language models in a federally funded medical AI consortium, and served as CTO of a monitoring software company until it was sold. I translate research into products, and products into results that a management board can measure.

What I take responsibility for when AI has to work in a company, and the research depth behind it.
From a regulatory or business need to a product customers pay for. I scope the opportunity, define the product and make the build-versus-buy and model decisions with the business case in view. AI Act as a Service and Private Enterprise AI are products I shaped from the first concept.
Multi-tenant, data-sovereign AI platforms: self-hosted models on GPUs, retrieval over company data, agents with tool access, OpenAI-compatible APIs. Designed so that isolation, auditability and cost control are properties of the system, not afterthoughts.
Small teams, short cycles and AI-assisted engineering with the discipline of tests, reviews and release processes. Results: an EU AI Act SaaS in production within two months, a Kanban product in two weeks, and milestone plans that are kept.
EU AI Act, GDPR and security requirements built into the product: risk classification, human oversight, audit trails, tenant isolation and recurring red-team reviews. I speak the language of CISOs, compliance managers and auditors as well as that of engineers.
Doctorate in computer science and 20+ peer-reviewed publications on language models, learning analytics and intelligent environments. Best Paper and Best Presentation at IEEE ICNLP 2026 for methods that measure how reliable an LLM really is.
Teaching cognitive systems and machine learning since 2016, supervising doctoral and student teams, running AI workshops for professionals, and explaining AI to management boards and broadcast audiences. Former CTO with full responsibility for product and technology.
I work as Lead AI Engineer at q.beyond. Beyond that I am open to senior leadership conversations and to selected advisory engagements where an independent, hands-on view on enterprise AI is needed.
An independent assessment of your AI initiative or platform: goals, architecture, model and vendor choices, data sovereignty, cost and risk. You get a clear recommendation and a roadmap your teams can execute.
Guidance and proof of concepts for large language models, retrieval over your own documents and AI agents that run on-premise or in a sovereign cloud, without vendor lock-in.
Practical preparation for the EU AI Act: inventory of AI systems, risk classification, obligations, documentation and human oversight, implemented in your processes and tools. Technical and organisational support, not legal advice.
